Add a touch of class to your jewelry creations with the addition of a touch of gold and triple the value of your silver designs. The application of fusing gold onto silver is an ancient Japanese technique called Keum-boo. Come explore the ins ad outs of working with silver metal clay (no experience necessary) as you create a textured pendant in preparation for the keum-boo process. Learn design techniques and easy steps for successful application of the delicate 24K gold foil. Then, be prepared to garner lots of attention as well as gobs of compliments from your friends and family.

Kit Includes:

Fine silver metal clay, 24K gold foil, sterling silver jump ring, neck cord, tool use, firing and finishing materials and miscellaneous workshop supplies

Students should bring the following tools:

Scissors leather (garden gloves), magnification (optional), apron (optional)

Instructor will provide the following tools for use in class:

Metal clay tool kits, various texture plates and mats, beehive kilns for gold application, relevant workshop materials and miscellaneous supplies
