Join Janet Alexander learning the fundamentals of soldering Argentium and sterling silver. Janet will share her years of jewelry making experience and teach you how to create a stylish spinner ring. In this class you will make a flared wide band ring with your choice of textured sterling silver spinner. Kit Includes:½” x 3” 20g sterling silver sheet, 3” textured sterling silver wire, 320-sandpaper, 600-sandpaper, Liver of Sulfur, silver solder, pickling solution, annealed wire, torch fuel, #4 saw blades (3), band tie, and class handout.
Students should bring the following tools:2 ea. needle nosed pliers, jewelers saw frame, rawhide mallet, fine point marker, and flat file. Bring your ring mandrel if you have one otherwise you will share. Optional: Optivisor or magnifying glasses and task light
