Description

Architectural techniques help to give visual interest to your work. In this workshop you will learn riveting and cold connections which will allow you to add height and dimension. Building your repertoire of techniques will help make your pieces to more interesting and unique. Fabrication skills will set you free to be more creative in your own work and be able to resolve connection issues.

Kit Includes:

Sheet metal, tubing, wire, and expendables

Students should bring the following tools:

Students who have metal working tools should bring them to class if available, a limited number of tools will be provided for sharing. Tools used in class will be anvil or bench block, anvil pillow, chasing hammer, wire cutters, chain nose and round nose pliers, jewelers saw and blades, bench pin. Chasing and forming tools will be introduced and available for use and purchase.

Instructor will provide the following tools for use in class:

extra tools, files, flex shaft, torch, fibers, wire, shaping and chasing tools.

Streaming Note: This class will be live streamed for remote students to be able to watch the instructor from home. We will have a release form for you to sign the day of the class and in exchange for the release we will grant you replay access to the class for you to watch from home if you want to review something from class. If you have participated as a live student in a streaming class before, we have changed our setup to be much less interfering with the live class but still gives great access to our students that can't make it to Tucson.
