Curious about casting but not ready for complicated equipment or intimidating processes? Cuttlefish bone casting is one of the most fun and approachable ways to begin. In this beginner-friendly workshop, students will learn how to carve simple designs into a real cuttlefish bone and use it as a natural mold to cast one-of-a-kind metal pieces.

You’ll experience the excitement of working with molten metal while embracing the beautiful, organic texture cuttlefish bone creates. Every cast comes out uniquely striated and textured, like a natural fingerprint. Perfect for absolute beginners and creative explorers, this class offers an easy, hands-on introduction to casting with an incredibly satisfying payoff.

Kit Includes: Two cuttlefish bones and a half ounce of silver. Additional silver and materials will be available for purchase.

Instructor will provide the following tools for us in class: Cuttlefish bones, torches for casting, ventilation, crucibles, and simple carving or dental tools.
