Make a wrist full of bangles and cuffs using this simple flame and forge method. In class, students use a micro torch to heat and twist wire followed by shaping, forging and soldering to create cuffs and bangles. No previous torch or soldering experience is required.

Kit Includes:

An assortment of round and square wire in a variety of gauges to make bracelets. Use of soldering tools and some related tools in class

Students should bring the following tools:

  • 1 pair locking vice grips pliers
  • A table vise with clamp to clamp to table. This tool must have a clamp attached to it to be able to securely affix to the worktable without slipping.
  • Heavy Duty flush cutters to cut up to 10-gauge wire. Instructor recommends Xuron 2175 Maxi-Shear flush cutter or Keiba Max Flush Cut Pliers
  • Round metal bracelet mandrel (must be metal, not wood)
  • Bench Block
  • Chasing Hammer
  • Plastic or rawhide mallet

    Instructor will provide the following tools for use in class:

    Instrutor will provide all soldering set-ups and solder supplies. Instructor will also provide Rotary tools, saws and sawing set ups for students to share in class.
